Spangled Cotinga

Spangled cotingas are from the Amazon rainforest; do look them up, because they're far more brilliant than I've painted here! I don't have a cyan in my palette yet, so I had to make do.

I got sick of not having time to paint or draw, so I made time yesterday. Very happy. Cotingas had been on my to-paint list for ages, and was just as much fun hashing out all the thinking I've been doing in the interim about rendering texture and foliage. Forgive the nonsensical lighting, though.
